About the Role

After a 2-week training program with the sales team you will take complete ownership of building your own “book” with new and or existing shipper partners. You will represent the client as the main point of contact. The definitive goals in this position are to build trust, sell the client’s technology, their carrier capacity and identify opportunities for new and continued partnerships with shippers, nationwide. This position will take a self-starter, well organized and all-around sales “beast”. This client is on mission to build the most elite sales team in the logistics industry.

This is a high-impact role. The success of this particular role will have a material impact on our business and the future growth of the company. This unique opportunity needs to come with a background in the logistics industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Make calls and set meetings to establish relationships and build your book of business from the ground up
  • Negotiate pricing with shippers and carriers
  • Sell and close new and existing shipper partners to move their freight
  • Identify opportunities to improve our offering, value proposition, and sales cadence
  • Identify and build new sales processes
  • Work directly with the founding sales team to ensure alignment and success of new accounts and your personal success
  • Manage daily shipments, resolving issues, to ensure pickup and delivery is on time, 24/7/365
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Continued travel for client meetings and engagements

 

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience at a logistics firm.
  • Proven track record of managing accounts and being a high performer.
  • Experience in managing high volume and multifaceted accounts.
  • Strong writing and speaking skills.
  • The ability to work with the latest technologies.
  • An obsession for great customer service.
  • The ability to balance attention to detail with rapid execution – we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well.

  • You have experience selling in 3PL, Transportation, or Tech.

You will be building and managing the carrier side of the office directed towards strategic development of building carrier relationships and finding carrier capacity. You will work alongside a dynamic group of customer focused Mid-Market & Enterprise Account Executives to help design a unique value proposition for this client’s carrier partners. The role will require a mix of strategic thinking, sales acumen, operational hustle, and strong people management skills. As a Carrier Account Executive, you will play a crucial role at the company by identifying, sourcing and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

This is a high-impact role as you will be responsible for building the framework for the carrier side of the business. The success of this particular role will have a material impact on the business and the future growth of the company.

This unique opportunity needs to come with a particular background in a fast paced environment and willingness to be a self-starter.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, lead, and scale carrier capacity to the sales team while being capable of finding carrier capacity on a daily basis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the offering, value proposition, and sales cadence
  • Design and implement a unique selling proposition to on-board new carriers
  • Manage rate approval process for all available shipments
  • Identify and build new sales processes

 

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience at a logistics firm with a “carrier and customer” type brokerage model.
  • Proven track record of managing and being a high performer.
